No. Many people come to therapy with a sense that something isn’t quite right, rather than a clear difficulty. We can take time to understand things together.
-
That’s very common. We’ll go at your pace, and there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. Silence, reflection, and taking things slowly are all welcome.
-
Yes. You don’t need to have struggled with addiction yourself to be impacted by it. Therapy can offer space to explore how those experiences have impacted you, alongside anything else you bring.

Many people come to therapy feeling alone with anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or the impact of addiction, sometimes believing they should simply cope better. I aim to create a space where you don’t need to hide, minimise your experience, or push yourself towards change before you feel ready. Together, we work steadily and respectfully, allowing insight and self-compassion to develop in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable.
I offer online and telephone counselling and psychotherapy across the UK, and hope to welcome clients face-to-face in Southport, Merseyside in the future. My work is grounded in a person-centred, trauma-informed approach that values gentleness, safety, and your pace above all else.
