New beginnings don’t have to be dramatic …

As the days grow longer, spring often brings a sense of possibility. Lighter mornings and brighter evenings gently lift mood and energy. It’s a season that naturally invites thoughts of change.

But new beginnings don’t have to be dramatic.

In counselling we often explore the quieter shifts, setting a boundary, softening self-criticism and letting go of something that no longer fits. Real change usually starts internally before it shows externally.

A new start may simply mean asking:

  • What am I ready to release?

  • What feels ready to grow?

  • What still needs patience and compassion?

Spring reminds us that we are allowed to begin again, gently, imperfectly and at our own pace.
